Daniel Joseph Zaroff D.D.S.

ZAROFF, Daniel Joseph, D.D.S. - age 84 of Fenton, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, February 17 at Chapel of the Holy Innocents at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. Fr. Robert Copeland celebrant. Family and friends are welcome to attend visitation from 2-6 PM on Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. A rosary will be prayed at 5pm. A private Committal Service with Military Honors will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery 4200 Belford Road, Holly on a future date. Memorial contributions in Daniel's memory would be appreciated to The Evans Scholars Foundation or Catholic Charities of Shiawassee and Genesee Counties. 

Daniel was born in Detroit on October 15, 1940, the son of Michael L. and Mary S. (Paja) Zaroff. He married Catherine Crego on June 1, 1964 and graduated from The University of Michigan Dental School in May 1965. Following graduation, he proudly served two years active duty as a Dentist in the U.S. Navy. He also served four years in the reserves. Daniel began his civilian dental practice in 1967 in Swartz Creek Michigan where he worked until retiring in 2002. Daniel was briefly active in local politics, and devoted to his family and church. He pursued many interests and activities and was a long time member of the Flint Golf Club, and the American and Michigan Dental Associations. 

Daniel is survived by his wife Catherine "Sally" Zaroff; sons, Mark (Melissa) Zaroff, Matthew (Kathleen) Zaroff, and Brian (Crysta) Zaroff; 7 grandchildren, Hayley Zaroff, Olivia Caylor, Emmy Zaroff, Jacob Zaroff, Ashley VanOpstall, Tyler (Ashley) Zaroff, and Kaitlyn (Christopher) Chartier; and 2 sisters Adeline Towery and Roseann McGarty. He was preceded in death by his brothers Tom and Michael and his sister Janeene Lemieux.
