URECHE, Daniel John Douglas - Age 35, doctoral student at University of Illinois, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Pastor Donald Milton officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday from 1-4 and 6-9 PM and Wednesday from 1:00 PM until the time of service. Daniel was born November 4, 1979 in Flint, the son of Daniel Joseph and Cinthia Ann (Wiles) Martin. He was a 1998 graduate of Swartz Creek. Undergraduate and graduate degrees from University of Michigan. For the past 5 summers Daniel had worked at Open Sky Wilderness Therapy in Colorado. Daniel had checked off kissing the Blarney Stone in Ireland and climbing Mt. Everest in India from his bucket list. Surviving are: father, Daniel and wife Shelly Ureche of Barryton; mother, Cinthia Martin of Florida; sister, Magen and husband David Betts; much loved step siblings, Anthony Climie, Jennifer and husband Eric Kline, and Katie Cook; grandmother, Marge Martin; nieces and nephews, David Wesley, Jenesis, Ezra, and Brooklynn; aunts and uncles, Kim and John Hornbuckle, Dave and Dody Ureche, Melody and Donald Milton, Perry Douglas and Julie Wiles, Doug and Tonya Martin, great aunts, uncles and cousins. Daniel was preceded in death by grandparents, Douglas and Betty Wiles, Daniel R. Ureche, and Jack Martin; aunts, Vicki Ureche and Marcie Kay Martin. Daniel was beloved by all.
