Daniel Skrovan

Skrovan, Daniel J. - Age 87, of Grand Blanc, died Thursday April 23, 2015. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11AM Monday, April 27, 2015 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 11824 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc. Father Jonathan Perrotta celebrant. Visitation will be held 3PM-7PM Sunday, April 26, at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Daniel was born in Newburgh Heights, Ohio the son of the late John Thomas and Elsie Rose (Beranek) Skrovan. Dan married the love of his life, Lenore Wygonski in Cleveland, Ohio on July 16, 1955. He attended night college for 13 years at Case Western Reserve University for his undergraduate and graduate studies and was also a member of Wayne State University's part-time faculty. Dan served his country in WWII and Korean War and served in the US Naval Reserve. He began his career with General Motors in 1948 and retired after 39 years as Director of Education and Training. Mr. Skrovan was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Elks, Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and parishioner of St. Raphael Church in Englewood, Florida where he was a member of the choir. Surviving are: wife, Lenore "Lon" Skrovan of Grand Blanc; children, Janet (Gary) Carlson, Daniel (Emilie) Skrovan, Rozanne (Jeff) Morgan, Donna (Scott) Rowan, Denise (Dr. Ayman) Tadros, Greg (Tamera) Skrovan; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Raymond (Florence) Skrovan, Thomas (Cynthia) Skrovan and sister Carol (Jim) Studer. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Rozanne, brother Clarence Skrovan and sister Alice. Online condolences may be posted on the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
