POOL, Daniel Briggs - Age 68, of Fenton, went peacefully home to his Lord, Thursday, October 19, 2006 at his residence with his family by his side. Funeral services will be held 1PM Monday, October 23, 2006 at Fenton United Methodist Church, 119 S. Leroy St., Fenton. Pastor Don Dennis and Pastor Marshall Delay of Glad Tidings Tabernacle will officiate. Burial in Oakwood Cemetery, Fenton. Visitation will be held 4-8PM Saturday and 1-8PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wade Spencer Ministries, personal friend and missionary to Africa, 2751 Twp. Rd. 1087, Perrysville, OH 44864. Dan was born August 11, 1938 in Flint the son of Briggs and Edna (Burtch) Pool. He and his wife, Melba were married in 1977 in Flint. Dan graduated from Northern High School in 1957 where he was well known as the high stepping drum major. He had been a barber in Fenton since 1959 and owned Fenton Family Hair Care. He was also the owner of Fenton Vending Service for many years. Dan was a former member of Fenton Kiwanis Club and former member and past president of Fenton Lions Club. Surviving are his wife, Melba of Fenton; 3 daughters, Lori and husband John Georgakopoulos of Fenton, Darci Pool, Michelle and husband Carl Wilson of Virginia; 7 grandsons, Joshua, Jared, Jacob and Jadon Georgakopoulos, Adam Chadwell, Michael and Cameron Wilson; 1 sister, 3 brothers, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, 2 nephews and a niece. The family would like to thank the many friends, employees and customers of Dan's for all of their support.
