Daniel Mccrandell

McCRANDELL, Daniel Dean Brant-- Age 62, Dan was a man who loved the Lord and went to be with him on Saturday October 29, 2016, son of Burton Percy Brant, step dad, Bert McCrandell and mother, Wanda May (Beech) McCrandell. Dan has two sisters, Carolyn Cameron and Dianne Robinson and three brothers, Dave Brant McCrandell, Chuck Brant and James McCrandell. He was raised in Flint, Michigan. Dan is survived by his two loving daughters, Mica McCrandell and Kinya Tarrence (Jason); step sons, Brent Battles and Brad Battles. Dan was the proud grandfather to Zak Tarrence (Falicia), Jordan Tarrence (Samantha Engler), Dylan Tarrence, Ericka Wheeler, Tony Karan Jr., Micalee Karan, Duane Battles, Katrina Scruggs and Shane Battles. And the great grandfather to Kamdyn Tarrence, Mathew Geeck, Ryalee Geeck, Paul Rhodes, Kailahni Karan, Olivia Rhodes and Myleigh Barnett. Dan leaves a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and many great friends. Dan enjoyed watching wrestling, Christian preachers on TBN, collecting watches and singing. Dan loved spending time with everyone. Dan always encouraged everyone to be encouraging and to never give up on oneself, Dan had a great attitude and always loved to smile; whether he had a good or bad day; he never complained, he was a giver and loved to help out anyone. Dan retired from General Motors engine plant Local 659. He was a Chaplain at Genesee County Jail and a Security Officer for Southfield Gold & Diamond before he was in a car accident in 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Chuck and Dave. Funeral services will be held 12 PM Friday, November 4, 2016 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint.
