Daniel Carl HONAKER

HONAKER, Daniel Carl - Of Flint, age 66, died Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Cremation has already taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Daniel was born in Flint on October 23, 1942, the son of Carl Van and Carrie LaVerne (VanAuken) Honaker. He married Delores M. Rife in Flint on March 23, 1963. Daniel began his working life at GM Chevrolet and Buick plants, but later made his career in music. He first played with the Bob Segar System and later with Doug Hedrick and the Country Class. Surviving are: wife, Delores "Dodie" Honaker of Flint; son, Daniel C. Honaker II of Flint, Daughter, Tamra Honaker of Flint; 3 grandchildren, Joshua, Madison and Nova; brother, Tom (Jill) Woodruff of Grand Blanc; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and mother-in-law, Audrey B. Snider.
