HAWLEY, Daniel George "Jack" -- Age 74, of Byron died February 9, 2015. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday, February 12 at First Baptist Church, Durand, 804 West Main Street, Durand. Pastor Russ Park officiating. Visitation will be held 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, and 10 AM until time of service at the church on Thursday. Interment at Byron Cemetery, Byron. Those desiring may make contributions to Renucci Hospitality House, Grand Rapids. Daniel was born January 10, 1941 in Fairview, MI. the son of Russell W. and Lydia Francis Hawley (Mills). He spent most of his life in the Byron area, residing 20 years on the farm . Daniel was a member of the First Baptist Church of Durand. He was a member of the UAW Local 598, and a past member of the Railroaders CB Club. Daniel enjoyed hunting and snowmobiling. He loved his grandchildren. He enjoyed his time and golf cart rides with many friends at Holiday Shores. He loved his dogs, Coco and Little Man, and cutting timber in the woods in Fairview. Surviving are wife, Diane of Byron; children, Jackie Marie Hawley of Flint, Michele (Joe) Luttrell of Durand, Richard (Jenny) Putnam of Durand; 6 grandchildren, Alex and Josh Johnson, Steven and Phillip Luttrell, Amber and Brandon Putnam; mother in law, Esther Birchmeier of New Lothrop; several half brothers and sisters.
