Daniel Wayne DeWITT

DeWITT, Daniel "Wayne", age 61, of Fenton, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2011. Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday November 28, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Fenton. Visitation will be Saturday 6:00-9:00 p.m. and Sunday 1:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Wayne was born April 5, 1950 in Greene County, Pennsylvania the son of Winfred and Marie (Gwynn) DeWitt. He married Karla Brabon on December 4, 1971 in Fenton. Wayne was employed as a mechanic and test driver by General Motors at Milford Proving Grounds until his retirement in 2006 after 36 years of service. He enjoyed bow hunting, handgun shooting and loved his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. More than anything, Wayne was a wonderful provider, who put family first. Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Karla; daughter, Keri Jo DeWitt (Edward Garrison) of Fenton; son, Daniel Wayne DeWitt II (April Slieff) of Davisburg; 4 grandchildren, Travis Castro, Christopher Castro, Jagger Ramey, Allie Jo DeWitt; mother, Marie DeWitt of Holly; brother, Randy DeWitt (Sandi) of Holly; sister, Sheri DeWitt of Noblesville, IN; brother by choice, David Meraglio (Terrie) of Fenton.
