Daniel Crannie

CRANNIE, Daniel Christian - Age 81 of Flint, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2023.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, January 20, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc.  Pastor Edward Morrison officiating.  Burial in Mikado Township Cemetery, Mikado.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday from 4-8 PM.  Those desiring may make contributions to Solid Rock Church of God, 160 N. Dan was born February 9, 1941 of Flint, the son of James and Mildred (Uttley) Crannie.  He attended Flint Central High School.  He married Eloise Lorraine Alexander February 7, 1959 in Flint and she preceded him in death January 22, 2017.  Dan was employed in the construction field for many years and he retired as a fabricator for Signs by Crannie.  He also owned and operated Dan's Eavestrough.  He enjoyed riding motorcycles, restoring antique cars, attending car shows with his wife and vacationing up north with his family.
Surviving are: son, Daniel Crannie, Jr. (Rae Chittick) of Fenton; daughters, Terri Crannie (Paul J. Satkowiak) of Otisville and Christine Zimmerman (Mark) of North Carolina; grandchildren, Christopher Cole (Sasha), Kayla Crist (Dan), Amanda Callaghan (Mike), Danielle Crannie (Ian) and Jeremiah Richardson; 7 great grandchildren;  Brother n law:  Jerry Alexander (Sharon) Brother n law:  Donald Alexander (Carol) Sister n’ law:  Trevena Sheets (Brian),  several nieces and nephews.  Special mention of our extended Ward family.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; son, James Crannie; brother, James Crannie; and sisters, Mildred Woodman and Alvena Mussey.  Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
