Daniel Barnes

BARNES, Daniel Roy - Age 63, of Swartz Creek, Michigan died Sunday, June 6, 2021.  Per his family's request, cremation has taken place.

Daniel was born January 30, 1958 in Flint, Michigan; the son of William Barnes and Myra (Cutler) Barnes.  He was a 1976 graduate of Ferndale High School.  He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp.  He married Cindy Lynn Leece July 18, 1987 in Oscoda, Michigan.  Daniel had resided in Swartz Creek since 1987 coming from Fenton.  He was employed by Shaltz Automation in Flint.  He was an avid fisherman and a member of the Lake Nepessing Bass Club.  He also enjoyed online video gaming.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 13th, 2021 from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. at the Barnes residence, 7192 S. Elms Rd., Swartz Creek, MI 48473, with the planting of a tree in his memory at 3:00 p.m. in our backyard. (If you have a portable lawn chair, please bring it).

Surviving are: his wife, Cindy Barnes; son, Jesse (Erin) Leece of Grand Blanc; daughter, Jenna (Andrew) Barger of Ypsilanti; grandchildren, Adam, Finn, and Roderick; Mother, Myra Lambert of Swartz Creek; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
