Dan Sauer

SAUER, Dan August - Age 73, of Fenton, died Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at home with his family after a battle with cancer. Private family services will be held at a later date. Dan was born December 14, 1946 in Baltimore, MD, the son of Frederick and Anita (Crafton) Sauer. He was a graduate of Patterson High School in Maryland. He married Dawne Elaine Skrentner May 2, 1970 in Royal Oak, Michigan. He had resided in Fenton since 1976 coming from Holly, Michigan. Dan retired from GM Metal Fab in Flint after 23 years of dedicated service. He was a member of Kensington Community Church in Lake Orion. He enjoyed golfing, playing cards, camping, traveling, boating, eating steamed Blue Crabs from Maryland, and most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. Surviving are: his wife, Dawne; son, Michael (Clare) Sauer of Marquette; daughter, Monica (Paul) Spiers of Lake Orion; grandchildren, Alexander and Ella Spiers; brother, George Sauer of Orma, West Virginia; sister, Anita (Ron) Lippa of Dundalk, Maryland and brother and sister-in-law James (Sheryl) Skrentner of South Branch; and many nieces and nephews.
