Miles, Dallas Owen, 'Dick', age 79, of Houghton Lake, formerly of Flint, died Sunday, July 23, 2006 at home. Funeral services will be held 1PM Thursday, July 27, 2006 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd. Fenton. Rev. Dean Dumbrille officiating. Interment will follow in Crestwood Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held 6-8PM Tuesday and 2-8PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner's Children's Hospital. Dick was born November 10, 1926 in Columbus, Ohio, the son of Ronald and Ethel (DeWitt) Miles. He married Audrey Crawford on September 28, 1957 in Garrett, Indiana. Dick was the owner of Eastown Bowl and Holly Lanes for 45 years, retiring in 2001. He was a former Shriner, a member of the Moose and Elk Lodge, Masonic Temple, Whaley Foundation and the Bowling Association Hall of Fame. He was active in the Bowling Proprietor's Association, American Legion, and served in the U.S. Army. Surviving are his wife, Audrey; daughter, Elise Miles of Linden; son, Timothy Miles and wife Tami of Holly; grandchildren, Gregory, Jaqueline, Darren all of Holly, 2 sisters, Ardith Gilchrist and husband Edgar of Mt. Morris, Yvonne Nordstrom and husband Dick of Clio; brother, Dean Miles of Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Vern and Keith Miles; sister, Lila Pickler.
