Dale Weber

WEBER, Dale Allen - Age 88, of Fenton formerly of Hillman and Lake Orion, died Wednesday, November 7, 2018. Services will be held 12:30 PM Friday, November 9, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Pastor Sara Weber officiating. Interment immediately following at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday from 11:30 AM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to The Medical Team Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association. Dale was born July 23, 1930 in Pontiac, the son of John Morris and Cora Opal (McCormick) Weber. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army from 1948-1952. He married Eva Mae Thornthwaite September 18, 1954 in Auburn Heights. He retired in 1987 from GM Pontiac Motor Division after 29 years of service. Dale was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Hillman. He was also a member of the Hillman V.F.W. Post 2356 and the Hillman Senior Center. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Surviving are: his wife of 64 years, Eva; 3 children, Ronald (Sara) Weber of Tennessee, Cheryl Haller of Fenton, and Jeffrey (Rita) Weber of Arizona; 9 grandchildren, Dedra (Chris) Campbell of Tennessee, Rachel (Rob) MacDonald of Byron, Brian (Heidi) Haller of Durand, Bradley Weber of Georgia, Crystal Weber of Tennessee, Chris Walker of Illinois, Alex Weber of Tennessee, Kyle (Lauren) Weber of Lansing, and Thomas and (Tina) Weber of Virginia; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Marjorie Addison of Wisconsin; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Elizabeth Hart and Norma McWethy; and brothers, Edwin and John Weber. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
