Dale Norman KIETZMAN

March 20, 1943 — April 25, 2014

KIETZMAN, Dale Norman age 71, of Flushing, went to be with the Lord Friday, April 25, 2014 at Genesys Health Park with his family at his side. Services will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 1209 Coutant St., Flushing with Pastor Clifford Bira officiating. Interment will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1-4 and 6-8 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek and from 9:30 AM until time of service Tuesday at the church. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Christian Outreach of Flushing. Dale was born March 20, 1943 in Flint, the son of Vernon Victor and Lenora M. (Peterson) Kietzman. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Vietnam War. Dale married Linda (Jeffords) Passmore on November 25, 2000. He retired from General Motors in 1997 after 35 years of service. Dale was an avid outdoorsman and traveled to Alaska 39 times to visit his sons and family. He won many awards training and showing horses and was a dedicated member of his church for many years. Dale loved people and was a great servant to the Lord. Surviving are: wife, Linda; two sons, Karl Kietzman, John (Julie) Kietzman, all of Alaska; step-daughter, Stacie (Karl) Klocko of Traverse City; six grandchildren; sister, Joyce (Michael) Ingalls of Grayling; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Victor "Vic" Kietzman and nephew, Victor Kietzman. Friends may share an online tribute on the obituary page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
