HERD, Dale Roger, age 55, of Swartz Creek, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2012 at McLaren Hospital. Funeral services will be 1:00PM Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Pastor Lawrence Gill officiating. Interment will follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 12PM Saturday until time of service at the funeral home. Dale was born July 24, 1957 in Detroit the son of James and JoAnn(Pauley) Herd. Dale graduated in 1975 from Swartz Creek High School and was employed by General Motors Metal Fab. Surviving are his wife, Theresa; 4 sons, Eric (Shannon) of Swartz Creek, Aaron of North Carolina, Bradley (Kimberly) of Washington, Brent (Jen) of Swartz Creek; 7 grandsons, Grant, Vance, Clinton, Weston, Andrew, Joshua, Liam; mother, JoAnn Herd; brother, Brian Herd of Swartz Creek.
