Dale G. Ferris

Dale G. Ferris, age 47, of Swartz Creek, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1PM on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at The Eagles Aerie 3851, 5240 S New Lothrop Rd, Durand, MI 48429; the family asks that you continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Dale was born on June 4, 1976 to Bruce & Barbara (Frazier) Ferris. He graduated from Swartz Creek High School in 1994. Dale was a resident of Swartz Creek for many years. Dale enjoyed working for Leisure Lake in Durand for the past several years. Dale's fondest memories were those spent on his boat, golfing, hunting and picking on his niece and nephews whenever the opportunity arose.   

Dale will forever be remembered for having a big heart; he loved people and left a smile everywhere he went. His family and friends will miss him dearly.

He appreciated all the love and support he received during his fight with cancer. Having those he loved near him during his last moments meant the world to him. 

Dale is survived by his mother, Barbara Ferris; sister, Melinda (Gary) Pope, niece, Sophie Pope; nephews, Gary Pope, Timothy (Katie) Pope, Loren (Stephanie) Pope, Nicholas Pope and Zachary Pope. He was preceded in death by his father, Bruce Ferris, uncles and grandparents.
