NELSON, Cynthia Lee (Gornowich) "Cindi"of Corunna, passed away July 9, 2016 of cancer. A memorial gathering will be held 1 - 4 PM Sunday, August 28 at the Bennington Township Hall, 5849, M-52, Owosso. Come hungry and dress casual. arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road Swartz Creek. Cindi was born November 5, 1948 in Harbor Beach. She had a passion for gardening as well as her pets. She was a former member of Venice Homemakers Extension Club where she met some of her closest friends while participating in many community service projects. She is survived by her husband Mark R. Nelson; sister, Sharon Matheson; children, Stephanie Miller, Jeffrey Sutton and Todd Sutton; seven grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sisters in law, Christina (Dave) Scharrer, Becki (Jeff) Miller, and Deb (Larry) Sachs; many nieces and nephews; her aunt, Marie and special friends, Jean Stibitz and Joyce Bremer, as well as other loving family members and friends.
