Cynthia was born August 3, 1943 in Owosso, the daughter of Peter W. and Mary (Vykydal) Patrick. She was in the last graduating class of Dye High School in 1961. She was very active with the Alumni Group, organizing annual whole school reunions. Cynthia married Bernie J. LaBombard February 16, 1963 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Swartz Creek. After raising her two sons, Scott and Mark, she started working at GM Parts Plant in Swartz Creek. When she retired she could fulfill her varied interests and talents. Traveling and wintering in Florida and even buying two Florida homes were on her list. She enjoyed renovating and redecorating, being a dedicated do-it-yourselfer. Cynthia was a crafter and enjoyed reading (an avid romance reader). Maybe it was her early dance instruction with the Czech dancers in Owosso that led her to be an active member of the Great Lakes Swing and Dance Club for many years. She gathered close friends throughout her life, meeting regularly for monthly luncheons. She was a loyal and loving mother, sister, and cousin. You could always count on her.
She is survived by: her sons, Scott (Amy) LaBombard and Mark LaBombard; step grandchildren, Chris and Caitlyn Grojean; brother, Peter (Linda) Patrick; niece, Sara Patrick; and many dear cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Mary Patrick; grandson, Zach LaBombard; and former husband, Bernard "Bernie" LaBombard. Special thanks to Swank Assisted Living and Heart to Heart Hospice for their loving care given to Cynthia. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
