Cynthia worked most of her life in the medical field, spending the last 25 years as a physician's assistant in both the public and private sector. She was a hard working woman who enjoyed shopping, but not only for herself but for those she loved and cared for. It was a priority of her's that her family never was in need of anything.
Cynthia made Michigan home for the past 31 years. She was born in and raised in Cleveland, Ohio and lived much of her life there. Cynthia moved to the Detroit area when she decided to pursue her medical career. It was during her time spent in Michigan she meet and formed a deep sisterly bond with Tyletta Sullivan, with whom she shared a home with for the past 34 years. Not only did they share lots of laughs and many memories over the years but they adored their dogs and enjoyed visits to favorite restaurants. Ty selflessly cared for Cynthia during her illness and passing at their home.
Becoming one of Jehovah's Witnesses was the accomplishment she was most proud of. Cynthia dedicated her life to Jehovah God's service in 1974 and died a faithful servant. She never passed up an opportunity, or created one, to speak to other's about Jehovah's Kingdom and because of this she always had her Bible handy.
Cynthia's family and friends will miss her big heart, generosity and affectionate love. Love was the motivating factor in everything she did, including all the motherly advice given to her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews --even if they didn't ask for it.
She is survived by her son, Will (Devaney) Carswell; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Cynthia is further survived by her three sisters, Theresa, Annette and Gwendolyn and her brother, Vernon.
