Curtis "Pete" Thomas

THOMAS, Curtis "Pete" Clarence - Age 96, of Alva, FL, formerly of Flint, MI, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021. Private burial will take place in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, Mt. Morris. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd. Grand Blanc. In Lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to the Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Pete was born on January 8, 1925 in Flint the son of Clarence and Marquette (Curtis) Thomas. He proudly served in the United States Army until his honorable discharge. Pete worked for McDonald Dairy in Flint for 35 years before his retirement. He and Betty Murray were united in marriage on September  9, 1944. Pete was an avid fan of the Detroit Red Wings and the Michigan State University Football.

Pete is survived by his son, Michael (DeLaine) Thomas; four grandchildren, Michael Thomas, Holly (Tony) Thomas, Ron Thomas and Nick (Nikki) Thomas; five great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren, and two special nieces, Pam Elliott and Carol Cook.

Pete was preceded in death by his loving wife of 75 years, Betty Thomas, and son, Dennis Thomas. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
