Curtis Moore

MOORE, Curtis Alfred Lee - Age 83, of Flint, died Monday, July 5,2021.  Per his request cremation has taken place and no service will be held.  No memorial is planned at this time.  He will be interred at Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris.  Those wishing  can make contributions in Curt’s name to the Cancer Research Institute, 681 Fifth Ave, New York, NY 10022.

Curtis was born May 15, 1938 in Romeo, the son of Theodore Roosevelt and Caroline Marie (Arnold) Moore.  He was a 1956 graduate of Romeo High School; he attended Ferris State College, and received a degree from Henry Ford CC.  Curt retired in 1987 from the Detroit Police Department as a Detective Sergeant after 26 years of service; he then worked eight years for the Bloomfield Village Police Department.  He was a member of the Eastern Michigan Woodworkers Guild.

Surviving are daughter, Alison Stayton Hernandez of California and Melisa Stayton Gutt of California; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother Michael and wife Catherine Moore of Colorado; sister, Carol Nine of Fraser and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his children Mary, Catherine Haner, Christopher Moore and Michael Stayton; and brother John Moore.  Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
