Curen Essex

ESSEX, Curen Marie, age 32, of Utica, formerly of St. Clair and Fenton, passed away Monday, November 8, 2021.  Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 PM Sunday, November 14 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 East Broad Street, Linden (A live stream of the service will be available on Curen's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com). Curen was born April 11, 1989 in Flint, the daughter of William Robert Essex and Dawn Marie (Pobocik) Rutkowski. She worked as a nail technician. She enjoyed water skiing, snow boarding, and horseback riding.

She is survived by her mother, Dawn Rutkowski and her fiancée, Craig Hatch of Linden; father, William Essex of Cape Coral, FL; two siblings, Britney Essex and her fiancée, Alex Martinez of Fenton and Mitchell Rutkowski of Germany; nieces, Aylah and Rayah; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Verda and Edward Pobocik, Patricia Cleveland, and Robert Essex.
