Cory Anthony Tafoya

TAFOYA, Cory Anthony  Age 17, of Swartz Creek, died Monday, December 6, 2005. Funeral services will be held 11:30 AM Friday, December 9, 2005 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Fr. Ken Coughlin officiating. Interment will follow at Bendle Cemetery in Clayton Twp. Visitation will be held be held 12-4 and 6-9 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Cory Anthony Tafoya Memorial Fund. Cory was born April 2, 1988 in Flint. He attended Durand Area Schools his whole life. He enjoyed hunting with his dad and skeet shooting with his grandfather. Corys smile and sense of humor warmed the hearts of everyone who knew him. Surviving are: father, Anthony Tafoya and Morgan of Swartz Creek; mother, Dionanda and husband, Gary Brown of Lennon; sister, Jessica; brother, Tanner, both of Swartz Creek; grandmothers, Suzanne Beauchamp of Swartz Creek, Diane Leader of Medina, OH; great-grandmother, Mary Tafoya of Flint; special aunt, Andreah Hayes; several other aunts, uncles and cousins; special friends, Chuck, Peggy and Sara Peters. Cory was preceded in death by: his grandfathers, Lorenzo Tafoya, Gerald Beauchamp and Sandy Leader; great-grandparents, Annabell and George McIntosh.
