SANFORD, Constance Kay "Connie" - Age 70, of Clarkston, died Saturday, September 17, 2016. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Rabbi Jen Lader officiating. Burial in Machpaleh Cemetery, Flint. The family will sit Shiva the evening's of Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at Lisa's home, 4067 Highview Ct., Waterford. Connie was born July 6, 1946 in Ann Arbor, the daughter of Richard and Caroline (Elliott) Simpson. She was a 1964 graduate of Waterford Township High School. She married Michael Sanford February 7, 1971 in Flint. She was employed as a computer teacher for many years. Connie was a Girl Scout and Girl Scout leader for many years. She was an avid scrapbooker, reader, and Detroit Tiger Fan, she also enjoyed cooking. Surviving are: her husband, Michael; daughters, Lisa and husband Jay Imerman and Rebecca and husband Jeff Lund; grandchildren, Rachel, Jeremy, Benjamin, Evan, and Elliott; sister, Ann and husband David Smith of Pennsylvania; life long friend, Nancy Horvath of California; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
