Connie Sue Lorey

LOREY, Connie Sue - Age 68, of Linden, died Monday, April 28, 2008 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday, May 1, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Rev. Ronald Faught will officiate. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held 11-2 & 4-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society. Connie was born June 28, 1939 in Fort Carson, Kansas, the daughter of John and Beatrice Turner. She had lived in Linden since 1972. For the past six years Connie worked as the Activities Director at McLaren Homewood. At the age of 58, she earned a bachelors degree in Gerontology from Spring Arbor College. She was active in the Linden Summer Happenings Committee. She loved golf and her bowling teams. Connie recently attended her 50th Class Reunion in Manitou, Colorado. Surviving are: three sons, William and wife Donna of Linden, Donald and wife Lora of Piedmont, SC, Steven and wife Stephanie of Linden; five grandchildren, Brandy, Sydney, Spencer, Taryn, Skyler; dear friend, DeAnna Colby; brother, Bill and wife Jan Turner of Colorado Springs, CO; and her cat, Princess.
