Connie Akridge

AKRIDGE, Connie Louise - Age 70, of Fenton, died suddenly June 16, 2017, surrounded by several loved ones at Troy William Beaumont Hospital. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at Fenton's Bush Park 1:00PM July 8, 2017 located at 250 N. Leroy St. Fenton. Connie was born October 1, 1946 in Lansing, she spent her years in Houghton Lake, Clio, Mt. Morris, Fenton and many winters in the Rio Grand Valley, TX. She was a vivacious, kind and generous woman who always put others first and who faced each of life's challenges with vigor, zest and a positive spirit. While there is no doubt we all miss her more then words could express, we are at peace knowing that she went home to the Lord where she is with many of her family and friends who preceded her in death. Blessed are we who were a part of her very special life. Connie is survived by her beloved companion of 12 years, Charles Hoover; and his family; son, Rick (Tess) Tyrrell; daughter, Laura Tyrell; grandson, John Thomas; three stepchildren, Cheryl (Bob) Coaster, Karen (Jim) White, and John (Amy) Akridge; three sisters, Kay (Bruce) Tyrrell, Tina Fox, Tami (Fox) Rugis; several special cousins; nieces and nephews; nine grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, William R. and Mary Dell (Smith) Fox; husband of twenty five years John T. Akridge; siblings, Carey R. Fox, James P. Fox, Vicki S. (Fox) Kelley.
