HATCH, Clint Hays - Age 75, of Swartz Creek, died Saturday, April 10, 2010 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, with Rev. Angelete Lakes officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday from 6-8 PM and Tuesday from 1-4 and 6-9 PM. A Masonic Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home Tuesday at 7:00 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to the Elf Khurafeh Shriners or Home and Hospice Advantage. Clint was born January 21, 1935 in Arbyrd, MO, the son of Clinton H. and Pauline V. (Hays) Hatch. He resided in Swartz Creek most of his life. He married Norah Pollard September 3, 1969 in Flint. Clint retired in 1979 from GM Metal Fab. after 25 years of service. He moved to Arkansas in 1980 where he drove semi trucks for Riceland. In 2000 he moved back to Swartz Creek to help his son, Craig run his multiple businesses, where he was called Pappa. He was a member of the Morning Star Lodge #556 F.&A.M. and the Elf Khurafeh Shriners, where he enjoyed working the Shrine Circus. Surviving are: wife, Norah; 6 children, Craig and wife Jan Hatch of Swartz Creek, Chris and wife Cathy Hatch of Tennessee, Norah Wollosuk of Flint, Diane Wheeler of Skidway Lake, Randy and wife Diana Gerding of Greenbush and Clara and husband Brian Moore of Flint; 22 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Chet Hatch; mother of his children, Jane Hatch and Ronnie Gerding. Online tributes may be posted at the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
