Clifford Scarberry

Scarberry, Clifford - Age 90, of Fenton, passed away August 29, 2022. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday September 2 , at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Elder Jay Hager officiating. (The funeral service will be live streamed and may be viewed at Clifford's page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.) Interment in Tyrone Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held  2-8 PM Thursday September 1, and 10-11 AM Friday.

Clifford was born December 31, 1931 in Paw Paw, Kentucky, the son of Hollie and Grace (Pruitt) Scarberry. He married Helen Conn on February 28, 1953 and she preceded him in death on April 1, 2022. Clifford retired from General Motors having worked in Skilled Trades with 43 years of service.

He worked a few years in the Coal Mines of Kentucky. He then came to Michigan to seek a better life for himself and his family. He was a very driven man and a hard worker. No project was too big for him. Even in his last few days he would comment that he wanted to be working outside with the boys.

Surviving are: six children, Darrell Scarberry of Fenton, David (Donna) Scarberry of McKee, KY, Cliff (Margaret) Scarberry of Fenton, Ken (Debbie) Scarberry  of London, KY, Tim (Tristan) Scarberry of Fenton; Dana (Brad) Jones of Fenton; grandchildren, Lindsay, Leslie, Jamie, Ashley, Bobbi Anne, Sarah, Amy, Baylee, Logan, Hannah, Sophie, and Piper; great grandchildren, Sara, Berlin, Sydney, Gentry, Hailey, and Avery; sister, Joan Adkins; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 69 years, Helen; and siblings, Hufford, Eugene, Hubbert, Douglas, Sarah, and Lige.
