Clayton enjoyed bowling and spent many years camping with his wife and children, extended family and longtime friends Bob and Carol Hieneman. An engineer at heart, Clayton was the family 'gadget man,' always improving other peoples' designs with a few tweaks of his own. His final project was adding a cup holder and hook for his phone on his walker. Clayton often shared nuggets of wisdom and humor from his favorite publication, Reader's Digest. Clayton "Rocky" worked as a Tool and Diemaker at General Motors in Flint where he ended up retiring from "Chevy in the Hole" with over 40 years of service. Clayton is survived by his wife, Janice and stepson Matt (Marnie) Brannon and second wife, Sherry and their two children Clifford Rockafellow and Trisha (Ray) Winn and his three children, Laura (Giovanni) Griswold, Ross (Heidi) Rockafellow, Amy (Nicco) Georgopulos with his wife Barbara; siblings, Janet Whitter and Barbara Davis; nine grandchildren, Hannah & Hope Rockafellow, Grant & Aidan Griswold, Kaylynn & Kyler Winn, Racquel & Bella Rockafellow, and Brayden Connolly; and many nieces, nephews, friends, and family.
