HOLZWARTH, Clayton H., Sr. (PeeWee) -- Age 81, of Swartz Creek, died Friday, September 1, 2006 at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, Evangelist Don McBride and Rev. Eugene Reinwasser officiating. Interment will be at 2:30 PM Tuesday at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be 2-5 and 6-9 PM Monday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans. Mr. Holzwarth was born January 23, 1925 in Chicago, IL, the son of Charles F. and Beulah (Hubbell) Holzwarth. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in WWII. He was married to Evelyn (Morningstar) Reinwasser in 1957. He retired from G.M. Chevrolet with 31 years of service. He was a member and pastor of the Community of Christ Church. Surviving are: wife Evelyn; son Charles Holzwarth of Swartz Creek; daughter, Carolyn Hollingshead of Bardstown, KY; step-sons, Eugene and wife Denise Reinwasser of Swartz Creek, Louis and wife Veronica Reinwassser of Okemos;  daughter-in-law, Sharon Holzwarth of Alpena; sister Yula Boyer of Florida; brother David and wife Linda Holzwarth of Traverse City; step-sisters, Vera, Evelyn and Adeline; nine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and his dog B.J. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Clayton H. Jr.; two sisters, Evelyn Swanson and Marion Genshaw; and brother Daryl Holzwarth.
