MEACHAM, Claude Myron, Jr. - Age 82, of Linden, died Tuesday, July 26, 2016. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 1:00 PM Saturday, July 30, 2016 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Burial in St. John Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton Friday from 4-9 PM and at church Saturday from 12:00 PM until the time of Mass. A vigil service will be held at the funeral home Friday at 7:00 PM. Claude was born December 26, 1933 in Caro, the son of Claude Myron Meacham, Sr. and Elcenia Meacham. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He married Emma Sambrano February 24, 1977 in Burton. Claude retired from GM Chevrolet Manufacturing. He had resided in Linden for the past 4 years coming from Fenton where he resided for 25 years. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and U.A.W. Local 659. Surviving are: his wife, Emma; and sister, Daralene Gebhardt of Three Rivers. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters, Barbra McClish and Wanda Leighton.
