Claude Robert, 'Bob' LOVE

LOVE, Claude Robert, "Bob", age 84, of Flint, formerly of Swartz Creek, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at Avalon Hospice. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 27, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. Ray Harrison officiating. Burial will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Bob born June 24, 1925 in Flint, the son of the late Claude S. and Ethel (Decker) Love. He married Betty V. Nickels on July 5, 1947. Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving 1943 to 1946. He was employed as an electrician by General Motors until retirement. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Betty; two daughters, Becky Love (Charlie Prause) of Swartz Creek, Judi Harrison (Ray) of Citrus Heights, California; five grandchildren, Shelli, Jori, Holli, Karmen, Derek; five great-grandchildren, Shoretta, Tyesha, Quintin, Shalia, Devin; two sisters-in-law, Joanne Campbell and Shirley Cook. He was also preceded in death by his two sons, David Love and Timothy Love; and sister, Beverly. The family extends thanks to the entire staff at Avalon Hospice for the excellent care they provided.
