UTTER, Clarence Elmer, Jr. - age 84, of Holly, died Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at his residence. A private family memorial will be held at a later time. Clarence was born August 31, 1927 in Central Lake, MI, the son of Clarence Elmer and Dorris (McPherson) Utter. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II. Clarence married Cathy Louise Motto on December 31, 1981. He retired from General Motors after 55 years of service as a Professional Test Driver. Clarence had a passion for driving and all things automotive. He also loved reading, especially about Archeology, and loved traveling. Surviving are: wife, Cathy of Holly; son, Paul Utter of Holly; three daughters, Chari and husband, David Smith of Holt, Roseann and husband, Pat Sinke of Lake Odessa; Tana and husband, Scott Lloyd of Howell; four granddaughters and three great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Bruce Motto; sister-in-law, Elizabeth and husband, Andy Mavis.
