Clarence Norman SCHINDLER

SCHINDLER, Clarence Norman - Age 92, of Flint, joined his Lord on Good Shepherd's Sunday, April 29, 2012. Services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, May 4, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, with Rev. David Daniel officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Clarence was born June 19, 1919 in Trimountain, the son of Henry and Aagot (Hansen) Schindler. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army and a recipient of the Purple Heart. He married Jeanette Sputa June 8, 1946 in Detroit. Clarence retired from GM Fisher Body Ternstedt after 30 years of service. He was a member of United In Christ Lutheran Church and the American Legion Post #225. Surviving are: wife, Jeanette; 4 children, Craig Schindler, Glenn Schindler (Bev), Lynn DeGroot (Bruce) and Mark Schindler (Tracy); 5 grandchildren, Steven Schindler, Rhonda Fadlallah (Samir), Chris Schindler (Malinda), Jason Jakubczyk and Amy Howard (David); 7 great grandchildren, Mohamad, Fatima, Cullum, Megan, Logan, Addison and Grayson; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Dana Schindler, 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
