McGINNIS, Clarence H. "Bud", age 71, of Durand, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2009. Funeral Services will be 4PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Pastor Don Dennis officiating. Visitation will be 2PM Thursday until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be Saturday at Ballew's Chapel Cemetery, Grubbs, Arkansas. Memorial donations may be made to the Leader Dogs for the Blind. Bud was born April 15, 1937 in Newport, Arkansas the son of the late Walter and Malissia (Williams) McGinnis. He married Velma Jean Ballew November 22, 1959 in Newport, Arkansas and she preceded him in death on February 13, 2001. Bud was employed by Buick in the Ternstedt Plant and at V-8 Engine plant for 30 years until his retirement in 1988 and was a member of UAW Local 659. Surviving are his 4 children, Wayne McGinnis (Mary) of Durand; Mark McGinnis (Lisa) of Kernersville, NC, Cindie Miller (Stoney) of Linden, Roger McGinnis of Durand; 11 grandchildren, Shantel Momier (Jim), Sherre Miller, Kristi, Malissia, Paige, Jacob, Zachary, James, Caroline, Leilani, Zane McGinnis; 7 great-grandchildren, Sydney, Brandon, Morgan, Taylor, Shane, Nevaeh and Olivia; sister, Mary Hopkins of Arkansas and many nieces and nephews.
