Clarence William 'Bill' DUNSMORE

DUNSMORE, Clarence William, "Bill" age 82, of Grand Blanc, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at Genesys Hospice. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11AM Friday, January 8, 2010 at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Church, 4133 Calkins Rd., Flint. Fr. Hanna Tayar celebrant. The family will receive friends 9:30AM Friday until time of Mass at church. Visitation will be 2-8PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. A rosary will be prayed at 6PM Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Genesys Hospice or Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Church. Bill was born April 25, 1927 the son of Harvey and Leona (Ahlstrom) Black. He later was adopted by Gilbert Dunsmore following the death of his father in 1929. Bill married Josephine Joseph on November 23, 1946 and she preceded him in death on October 27, 2007. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving as a Pharmacists Mate 3rd Class during WWII. Bill was employed by General Motors for 30 years as a service manager. He enjoyed working on cars and was known to extend a helping hand to those in need. Surviving are his 5 children, Diane Dunsmore of Burton, Randy Dunsmore (Nancy) of Grand Blanc, Sandra Dale (Ron) of Walbridge, OH, Jill Moore (Mark) of Grand Blanc, Jacqueline Bowles (Robert) of Fenton; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents and sister, Gloria Andrews. The family extends special thanks to the staff of Genesys Hospice for the loving care provided to Bill.
