Clarence E. Blackburn

December 7, 1917 — April 11, 2005

Blackburn, Clarence E. - age 87, a resident of Howell, died Monday, April 11, 2005 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor. Mr. Blackburn was born on December 7, 1917 in Deerfield Twp. Michigan the son of Lant and Mabel (Toomey) Blackburn.  He was united in marriage to Julia Dooley on June 19, 1943 at St. John Catholic Church in Fenton.  She preceded him in death on August 3, 2003. Mr. Blackburn was retired from Livingston County where he was Registrar of Deeds.  He was a veteran of the U.S.Army serving in W.W.2. Surviving are 8 children: Timothy Blackburn of Howell, Matthew Blackburn of  Ann Arbor, Katherine (Ronald) White of Howell, Mary (Raymond) Moraniec of East Lansing, Julia (Thomas) Palella of Lake Forest, Illinois, Anne (Lee) Victorian of Ann Arbor, Joseph (Angie) Blackburn of Portland, Michigan, and John (Mary Alice) Blackburn of Howell.  Also surviving are 19 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, a sister, Maxine (Eugene) Pasinski of Howell, sister-in-law Ellamae Blackburn of Durand, brother-in-law, William (Marge) Dooley of Fenton, sister-in-law Beryl Dooley of Fenton, brother-in-law Glen Bulemore of Fenton and many nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will be prayed 10:30 P.M. Thursday, April 14, 2005 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton.   Rev. Fr. David Harvey will officiate and burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.   The family will receive friends at the Sharp Funeral Home, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton from 4 to 8 P.M. Wednesday.  The Rosary will be prayed 5:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Thursday, Mr. Blackburn will be taken to the church to lie in state from 9:30 A.M. until 10:30 A.M..  Friends may share online condolences or post tributes at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
