LONSBURY, Clare A. - Age 75, of Flint, died Friday, May 30, 2008 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 12Noon Monday, June 2, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. Elder Steve French and Elder Roger Haynes officiating. Visitation will be 4-8PM Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation. Clare was born October 30, 1932 in Gladwin County the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Parish) Hilts. She married her first husband, Richard Voigt on March 24, 1951 in Gladwin and he preceded her in death November 4, 1980. She married her second husband Richard Lonsbury on October 8, 1983 in East Tawas. She had been a resident of the Flint area since 1951 having come from Gladwin County. Clare was an Elementary School Teacher in Genesee for over 24 years, retiring in 1990. She was also Secretary of Genesee School PTA. She was a member of Community of Christ in Brighton, Senior Citizen's Center in Holly and Travel Club. Clare enjoyed sewing, crocheting, boating, fishing, hunting and traveling across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Surviving are her husband, Richard Lonsbury of Flint; son, Richard J. Voigt; daughter, Vicky Goodall (Robert); step-children, Debra Toler, Richard A, Lonsbury (Judy), Daniel Lonsbury (Diana), Joseph Lonsbury, Christian Lonsbury (Linda); granddaughter, Grace Goodall; mother, Elizabeth Hilts; sisters, Edith Ridley (Bruce), Frances Nail; brother, Frank Hilts Jr. (Barbara). She was also preceded in death by granddaughter, Hope Elizabeth; father, John Franklin Hilts and brother-in-law, James Nail.
