Clare Wayne COOPER

COOPER, Clare Wayne - Age 79, of Fenton, died Thursday, December 10, 2009 at his daughter's residence. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 19, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton, with Ms Charlene Cooper officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday from 10:00 AM until time of service. Clare was born December 17, 1929 in Flint, the son of Nathan Ira and Ruby Jane (Hamilton) Cooper. He was a 1948 graduate of Fenton High School. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army. Clare married Evelyn Ferguson February 17, 1951 in Holly. He retired in 1980 from Ford Motor Company after 31 1/2 years of service. Surviving are: wife, Evelyn; 2 daughters, Charlene Cooper and Scott Wright of Swartz Creek and Rebecca and husband Curt Jones of Gaines; 2 grandsons, Matthew and Scott Jones; great grandson, Alex Loafman-Jones; several nieces and nephews.
