STUDER, Claire Jean (Rowan) - Age 84, of Burton, went to heaven on August 22, 2017 at her home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Friday, August 25, 2017 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 E. Bristol Rd., Burton with Fr. Steve Anderson celebrant. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, with a vigil service at 7 PM. Visitation will also be held from 10 AM until the time of mass Friday at church. Those desiring may make contributions to Holy Redeemer Local Outreach or Reverence Home Health and Hospice. Claire was born October 23, 1932 in Jersey City, NJ. She and her husband, Robert were both born and raised in New Jersey. They married in 1956 and resided in North Bergen, New Jersey, where they raised six sons and attended Sacred Heart Parish. They moved to Burton in 1977 and became members of Holy Redeemer Parish. Her husband, Robert passed away in 1987. Claire's life and her smile were full of love. She shared this gift of love with all who knew her. She is survived by her six sons, Timothy (Jackie), Thomas (Judy), James (Maria) all of New Jersey, Robert (Catherine) of California, Christopher (Elizabeth) of Swartz Creek and Matthew of Burton; grandchildren, Kathryn (Klark Cole), Thomas (Kimberly), Christopher (Brooke), Sam, Nicholas, Richelle, Anton, Robert, Gabriella and Sarah (Andrew Nelson); great-granddaughter, Adalynn Nelson; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary; brothers, Edward, Michael and James. A special thank you to Claire's niece, Fran Norris, and neighbor Carol Miller, who brought Claire much love, especially through her months in hospice care.
