LEWIS, Christine Dee - Age 59, of Swartz Creek, died Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, February 23 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Interment at Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be held 6-8 PM Wednesday, and 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to the Humane Society or the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (A.S.P.C.A.). Christine was born January 4, 1948 in Flint, the daughter of Clifford Paul and Eleanor Betty (Hittle) Childers. She married Hershel Wilbert Lewis on January 1, 1971 in Angola, IN, and he survives her. She has lived in Swartz Creek since 1979, coming from Flint. Mrs. Lewis worked for Flint Osteopathic Hospital for over 16 years as a Unit Clerk retiring in 1990. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Grand Blanc and Swartz Creek Senior Citizens. She loved reading, playing cards, and watching T.V., Soaps, and the Oscars each year. She is survived by her husband, Hershel; 3 step-children, Tommy E. Lewis of Burton, Marceline Lewis of Flint, Christopher and wife Diane Lewis of Mason; 7 step-grandchildren; 2 step great-grandchildren; 1 step great-great-grandchild; sister, Diane Jean and husband James Brocious of Flint; brother, Douglas Lester Childers of Burton; nieces and nephews, Kimberly Smith, Kelley Gregg, Ann Marie Childers, James R. Brocious, Larry Douglas Childers, and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents.
