COOK-BAVAR,  Christina Joy, age 80 of Midland, formerly of Flint, died Friday October 28, 2005 at Avalon Hospice.  Mrs. Baver was born in Flint on September 15, 1925 a daughter of John and Nina (Crawford) Dawson.  She had lived in Flint for many years.  She was a homemaker and at one time had been employed at Cook Drug Store for 10 years.  She also volunteered for many years in the Toys For Tots program.  Surviving are her children: Patricia Jobin with Don Poston of Mt. Morris,  Edwin (Nancy) Folaron of Flushing,  Nancy (Dave) Cook of Cadillac, Mi, Georgana (Ken) King of Midland, Richard (Nancy) Folaron of Durand, Loretta Potter of White Cloud, Mi, Lorna Jones with Bryan Hetherington of Flint, Tina Folaron with Doug Meade of Mt. Morris, Leslie (Jim) Carsten of Grand Blanc, Deborah (Bob) Campbell of Burton and Ruth Fisher of Flint and hundreds of unofficially  adopted children.  Also surviving are 31 grandchildren, 43 Great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson, 2 brothers;  William Dawson of Grand Blanc and Charles (Pat) Dawson of Grand Rapids. Further survivors include  sisters-in-law; Mary Dawson, Rita Promenchenkel, Joann (John) Stopka and  many nieces and nephews. Services will be  3:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at the Sharp Funeral Home Miller Rd. Chapel 8138 Miller Rd. Swartz Creek. Chaplain Joel Florida will officiate.  Services will conclude at the funeral home with bagpiper Mike Kamal piping.  The family will be at the funeral home to receive friends Monday from 1:00 to 8:00 P.M. and Tuesday from 10 A.M. until service time.  Memorial gifts in her name may be offered to the Alzheimers association or to a charity of ones choice.  Online condolences and tributes may be posted for the family at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
