Christie Ann TABACCHI

TABACCHI, Christie Ann, Age 63, of Swartz Creek, died November 17, 2010. Services will be held 1 PM Sunday, December 5, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Rabbi Karen Companez will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service until 4 PM. Christie wore many hats in her long, successful, and productive life. She was an accomplished scholar and professional, a wife, mother, jewelry maker, choir member, and dear friend to many. She obtained her MSW in social work from U of M, Ann Arbor, and her teaching education and certificate from MSU. She taught reading for the Genesee County Jail in Flint, MI., taught Business Math for Baker College in Flint, and also served as a social worker for many years. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, William Tabacchi; two children, Alex Tabacchi and Rachel Wafle-Tabacchi; mother, Jane Fryman Peth; sister, Sara Peth. Her interests included many things such as bell choir, choir, genealogy, jewelry making, music, art festivals, pottery, and overall socializing and organizing social events with friends. She has touched family and friends both deeply and emotionally, and has left a mark on us all. If you knew her, you were lucky to have known such a remarkable woman.
