Chester S. PHILLIPS

PHILLIPS, Chester "Chet" S., Jr. - age 75, of Fenton, died Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral mass will be celebrated 1 PM Saturday, January 8, 2011 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton with Rev. Fr. David W. Harvey celebrant. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton and from 12:30 PM until the time of mass on Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John G.I.F.T. Campaign or St. John Educational Fund. Mr. Phillips was born June 15, 1935 in Flint, the son of Chester and Theresa (Dannis) Phillips. He was a commercial real estate agent for 40 years and was very active in the Catholic Churches that he attended. Surviving are: seven children, Terese (Michael) Adams of Linden, Kathy (Loren) Derry of Battle Creek, Steve Phillips of Swartz Creek, John (Aimee) Phillips of Grand Blanc, Jennifer (Moe) Daraiseh of Linden, Danielle (Brian) McKay of Linden, and Ryan Phillips of Davison; 10 grandchildren, David, Jessica, Katelyn, Jacob, Kristen, Lauren, Luke, Lane, Makayla and Arabella; sister, Marlene (Frank) Hoehn of CA; former wife, Patricia Phillips of Flint.
