Cheryl Kay Pelc

PELC, Cheryl Kay - Age 77, of Flushing, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2024. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 21, 2024 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 402 S. Ballenger Highway, Flint. Pastor Dean Dumbrille officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek Friday from 3-8 PM and at church Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Paul Lutheran Church Altar Guild.

Cheryl was born June 16, 1947 in Flint, the daughter of Donald and Louise (Wiebeck) Jensen. She was a 1965 graduate of Flint Northwestern High School; and she received a LPN license from Flint Junior College (Mott Community College). She married John Richard Pelc February 3, 1967 in Flint. Cheryl had resided in Flushing for the past 20 years coming from Flint Township. She retired from the Carman Ainsworth Community Schools as the cook manager. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church; where she also was a member of the Altar Guild. She enjoyed cooking, baking, camping and spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren. 

Surviving are: her husband of 57 years, John; daughters, Michelle (Greg) Waller of Flint and Laura (Greg) Baker of Linden; grandchildren, Morgan (Nick) VanEck of Cedar Springs, Derek (Tori) Waller of St. Johns, Seth Baker (Lindsey Luff) of Flushing and Sydney Baker of Linden; great granddaughter's, Elizabeth and Isabella Waller; a lifelong friend, Joan Goulette of Calumet. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Louise Jensen; and brother, Gary Jensen. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
