Cheryl Lynne (Boggs) Bannister

BANNISTER, Cheryl Lynne (Boggs) - Age 59, of Linden, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2024. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, June 30, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek (The service will be live streamed and can be viewed via the link on Cheryl's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com). Pastor Jim Nelson officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. Cheryl was born May 6, 1965 in Durand, the daughter of Robert Ray and Verna Jean (Warren) Boggs. She was a 1983 graduate of Lake Fenton High School and she received a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services from Baker College. She had resided in the Linden/Fenton area most of her life. Cheryl was employed as a postal carrier for the Howell United States Postal Service. She was a Foster Parent for over 50 children over a span of 21 years. She enjoyed raising chickens, crocheting, traveling and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. 

Surviving are her children, Randi Bannister (Latavious Harris) of Swartz Creek, Raydean Bannister (Drew Butterfield) of Clarkston, William "Billy" Bannister (Crystal Shorez) of Owosso, James Bannister (Madalyn Forsberg) of Grand Blanc and Austin Robbins of Linden; 9 grandchildren, Granger, Dakota, Grace, Avery, Jaxson, Alabama, Kinsley, Teagan and Sebastian Tate; father, Robert Boggs of Linden; siblings, Rhonda (Herbert) Rhodes of Alum Bank, PA, Clarence "CJ" (Karen) Boggs of Linden, and Tina (Allen) Bradley of St. Peters, MO; brother-in-law, Rick Smith of Chesterfield, VA; father of her children, Patrick Bannister of Mt. Morris; and several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Verna Boggs; and sister, Sheila Smith. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfunralhomes.com.
