AUSTIN, Cheryl- Age 69 of Swartz Creek, passed away October 14, 2021.
A funeral service will be held 11AM Thursday, October 21 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will take place 5-8PM Wednesday and 10 until the time of service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
Cheryl was born March 13, 1952, the daughter of Carl and Marjorie (Hescott) Rader. She married her love, Jeffery Austin, on October 26, 1968. Cheryl worked as a receptionist for Anna Silman's Tax Service for many years. She loved bowling, reading fantasy novels and playing card and dice games. Cheryl was famous for her homemade chocolate chip cookies in the big orange bowl.
Cheryl is survived by her husband, Jeff of Swartz Creek; children, Michelle (Mike) Parsons of South Lyon and Chris (Kari) Austin of Ohio; grandchildren, Chloe, Logan, and Joel; mother, Marjorie Rader of Laingsberg, brother, Gary (Deb) Rader of Goodrich; sisters, Judy (Dave) Mattson of Lennon and Lynne (Kane) Bucher of Ovid; and many nieces and nephews.
Cheryl is preceded in death by her father, Carl Rader.
