Cherry L. Haemmerlein

Cherry L. Haemmerlein, age 92, of Flushing, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024. Services will be held in private for her family, please continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers especially during this holiday season. Cherry will be laid to rest next to her late husband, Marvin, at Flint Memorial Park. Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel has been entrusted with funeral arrangements. Cherry was born on February 18, 1932 in Flint, Michigan to the late Fred & Clotelle Bivins. She was employed with Macy's Department Store for many years and retired from there. She was an active member for many years to Home Missionary Baptist Church in Mt. Morris. Her faith was extremely important to her and she loved singing songs of praise. 

She is survived by her children, Sue (Randy) Johnson and Melody Everman; her 9 grandchildren; 24 great grand children and 4 great great grandchildren. She was especially close to her great grandson, Marty III, whom she raised like her own son and he faithfully cared for her these last years. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Haemmerlein; her sons, Marty, Marvin "Ziggy" Haemmerlein and grandson, Marty Haemmerlein II.
