Charvilla Hajek

HAJEK, Charvilla Mae - Age 78, of Flushing, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2022.  Services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, November 18, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek (A live stream of the service will be available on Charvilla's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com). Charvilla was born June 22, 1944 in Flint, the daughter of Roderick and Evelyn (Butler) Somers. She was a 1962 graduate of Mt. Morris High School.  She had resided in Flushing since 1967 coming from Flint.  She retired from the United States Postal Service.  Charvilla was an avid reader.  She was also blessed with a very creative artistic ability. She enjoyed quilting and playing cards with her close friends.  She had a love of nature which especially included feeding and watching birds.  She cherished her companionship with her beloved dogs.  Above all she was known for her kindness and love of her family and dear friends.

Surviving are: her children, Wade Hajek (Jennifer Maclean) of Grand Blanc and Ramena (William) Vorachek of Flushing; grandchidren, Aleena Hajek of Columbiaville, Alec Hajek of Lapeer, and Logan Vorachek of Flushing; brother, John (Terry) Somers of Ypsilanti; step brother, Jerry Franklin of Oregon; nieces and nephews; and her special neighbors, Phil, Lorelei, Jacqui, Gail, and Nicole.

She was preceded in death by her parents; step mother, Orleatha (Franklin) Somers; brothers, William and George Somers; step brothers, Rex and Cliff Franklin; and step sister, Kay Lisiecki. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
