Charlotte 'Joyce' Lynn

December 30, 1934 — February 12, 2007

LYNN,  Charlotte 'Joyce', age 72 of Gaines, died Monday,  February 12, 2007 at Hurley Medical Center.  Mrs. Lynn was born in Parma, Missouri on December 30, 1934 the daughter of Raymond and Mary (Reed) Parker. She and Robert Lynn were married on September 26, 1951 in Pigott, Arkansas. She has lived in the area the past 3 years coming from St. Johns, MI. where she lived for 20 years.  Mrs. Lynn was retired from the Carman-Ainsworth Schools as a Transportation Supervisor after 20 years of service.  She was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Swartz Creek.  She enjoyed gardening and sewing.  Surviving is her husband, Robert; her three children; Linda Hatcher (Jim) of Lansing, Mary Diana Osika (Pat) of Flint and R. Duane (Angie) Lynn of Indianapolis, Indiana.  Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and 3 brothers;  Bill Parker (Sue), Phil Parker (Sally) and Dan Parker (June)  all of Flint.  Further survivors include many nieces, nephews and a sister-in-law Sally T. Parker of Flint.  Mrs. Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Wendell and Jerry and a nephew, Steve Parker.  Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 15, 2007 at the Cornerstone Baptist Church, 6273 Miller Rd.,Swartz Creek. Dr.  Roy McLaughlin and her grandson, Pastor Chris Yager will officiate. Burial will follow at Flint Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at the Sharp Funeral Home, Miller Rd. Chapel from 12 noon to 8:00 P.M. today.Thursday, Mrs. Lynn will lie in state at the church from 10 A.M. until service time. Memorial gifts in her name may be made to the Heritage Baptist Church of Albany, New York.
